Anna Ruiz
1954 – 2024

In Loving  Memory of Anna Ruiz
October 19, 1954- August 28, 2024

Anna was born on October 19, 1954, in Puerto Rico. Her parents are Marcelino “Chelo” Díaz and Ana Díaz.  In 1963, she and her family moved to Perth Amboy, New Jersey, where she grew up surrounded by her nine siblings - three brothers and six sisters.  She graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1974, marking the beginning of a life filled with love, dedication and service.

In 1976, she married her high school sweetheart, Jose Ruiz, and began building a family of her own. She was a devoted and loving mother to her three children: Joann Ruiz, Melissa Ruiz, and Joey Ruiz.  Her pride and joy extended to her three grandchildren:   Alexa Tapia, Alyssa Tapia, and Messiah Ruiz, whom she adored and loved deeply. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

Anna dedicated nearly 30 years of her life to a career in the banking industry, where her professionalism, kindness, and integrity left a lasting impression on her colleagues and clients.  After retiring, she turned her focus to caring for her elderly mother, demonstrating the deep sense of love  and responsibility that defined her character.

Anna was a remarkable woman with a heart of gold. She made many sacrifices for her family. Her generosity and selflessness touched everyone she met and she was often described as an angel on earth.   As a mother, wife, daughter, sibling, grandmother, and friend, she embodied unconditional love and unwavering support.  She was truly the heart and pillar of her family.

Her family and friends will forever remember her warmth, compassion, and the light she brought into their lives. Although her time on earth has unexpectedly and prematurely come to an end, her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
