Brian Nichols 1980 – 2026 Jacksonville, Florida Brian Donell Nichols, lovingly known as “Cornbread and Lorenzo Bread” began his journey of life on April 8th,1980, at Greenpoint Hospital in Brooklyn New York, where he was born to Bernadette and Clifton Nichols. He was educated in the New York City and Jacksonville Florida school system. He returned to NY to complete his education and graduated from Young Adult Academy. Brian was a sweet, kind and fun-loving child that always wanted everyone to be happy. He loved playing video games and would play the same game for hours until he mastered it and there were no more levels to beat, before moving to the next game. In his younger teenage years, he turned his passions for art, music and fashion into a strong love for basketball. During one summer alone, he played in five community leagues. In true Dennis Rodman style, he dyed his hair, added homemade tattoos and ran up and down the courts of Bushwick H.S. Park. In 2001, Brian welcomed his first child Princess Raynn Deborah Nichols, whom he loved very much. In 2012, he was blessed with his son Brian Donell Nichols Jr to carry on his legacy. Brian’s first job as a teenager was at Wendy’s fast-food restaurant, where he developed his love of cooking. Through life’s challenges he worked tirelessly to secure the life he wanted. He relocated to Jacksonville Florida around 2015 and made it his permanent home. He was a hard worker, seemingly working endless hours cooking as the Head Chef at Ruby Tuesday restaurant and even managing some of the establishments he worked for. The patrons loved his food, interactions and his tenacity. Brian started work with his cousin Al as an ambassador for his company Mars3045. This is where he realized his talent for acting and his love for the filming industry. Brian worked behind the scenes learning the different areas of filming such as screen angles and working the mics. Brian started his acting career first appearing in shows “ Pipe Dreams and My wife and me” . He also appeared in his first film “Hey Stupid “ . Through his dedication and hard work he landed his first lead role in the film “The Co-Signer” . Brian then went on to star in his second leading role in the film “Brad and Benny make a In January 2024 Brian purchased his first home just walking distance from his big brother Anthony. This was a great accomplishment for him and made himself very proud of the man he had become. Brian continued to work with his cousin Al co-hosting a podcast “ Talk That Ishh “, with the help of his brother Clifton. Brian made his final film appearance in “Buddez” . He was also an inspiration for a character for the children’s book “Julian Family Reunion “ . One of his final projects was working on another inspired character for a second children’s book “Haze and Bread” On February 23,2026, Brian’s life was unexpectedly taken away from us in a tragic accident before being able to fulfill all of his future endeavors. While this leaves a huge void that will never truly be filled in the lives of those that knew and loved him, he will forever live on in the memories that he built with all of us. Brian leaves behind, his mother Bernadette, stepfather Andre, father Clifton, stepmother Sondra, his daughter Raynn, son-in-law Corey, his son Brian Jr, His brothers, Anthony, Clifton, Alex, Eric, and Andre, his sisters, Priscilla, Candice, and brother-in-law Johnny.
