Briley Ramey 2001 – 2024 Boaz, Alabama Briley was born on January 4, 2001 on a Thursday at 7:32 pm to Tonja Overstreet and Kenny Ramey in Boaz, Alabama with a heart full of love, compassion and empathy for everyone he met. He was automatically the best son and brother anyone could ask for. Briley never met a stranger and everyone who knew him loved him just as deeply as he loved them. He had the most contagious spirit, laugh and an irresistible smile. Whenever Briley walked into a room it was instantly filled with joy, laughter and jokes. He was truly sunshine in human form. He had the most charismatic ability of making everyone around him feel special. From the tender age of just six years old Briley fell in love with football. It became more than just a game to him - it was his passion and the place where his determination, heart and spirit shined the brightest. It’s where he formed friendships that stretched far beyond his years at Boaz High School, where he went on to graduate from in 2019 surrounded by not only his teammates but also a host of friends and a community that loved him dearly. To know Briley was honestly to love him, his kindness and sincerity made it impossible not to. He was the epitome of love and to always try to live life to the very fullest. Briley was truly the definition of “Love like Jesus.” He loved the Lord with his whole heart, as well as not only his family and friends, but almost everyone he encountered. His love and faith were genuine and joyful and impossible not to feel in his presence. Briley’s favorite bible verse was John 15:5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches : He that abidith in me, and I in him, the same bringith forth much fruit : for without me, ye can do nothing.” He lived his life by those words, and always put his faith in the Lord, even during the most uncertain of times. More than anything Briley will be remembered for the way he made people feel - welcomed, loved and never alone. At only twenty-three years old : children always found their way to him, animals gravitated towards him. His kindness, faith, love, laughter and his unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him, love him and be loved by him. He will always be deeply missed and loved beyond any measure this world can hold.
