Carlos Torres 1984 – 2024 On May 11, 1984, Carlos was born in La Piedad, Michoacán, Mexico. He came to the United States when very young and lived most of his life in the San Bernardino area. He was a wonderful son, a devoted brother, an admirable friend, a loving father, and a dedicated husband. Carlos had such an animated personality with a great sense of humor. He made friends everywhere he went. Carlos had a loud and contagious laugh that you couldn't even be mad at him for it. He never liked to see anyone sad and would anything to make you laugh. If you knew Carlos, he had no filter and was brutally honest. Nothing was sugar-coated with Carlos. Also, out of nowhere he would say some of the craziest sayings that would throw you off guard and you wouldn't know whether to laugh or be mad. Some of his phrases were: “Ok and what,” “Yea, you”, “Please hold”, “You'll be alright”, “Hay mas tiempo que vida” (“There’s more time, than life”). Carlos had a passion for music, dancing, and singing; especially the cumbias. He always knew what song to play or song to sing along with. You can say he was a walking jukebox. His Spotify playlists are pretty impressive. Carlos was literally the life of the party. Whenever you saw Carlos at a party, he always had an ice cold beer in his hand and yelling out “Here we go!”. And if he saw you without a drink, he made sure your hands were never empty. Carlos took up smoking; smoking meats that it. He got himself a couple of Traeger smokers and starting cooking up brisket, pulled pork, hot links, chicken wings, and his infamous smoked queso. One of Carlos's dreams was to open his very own BBQ place and naming it Smoking T's. Carlos is survived by his loving wife Patricia, his parents: Rebeca Ruvalcaba, Enrique Ruvalcaba (stepfather), Carlos Torres (father); his siblings: Fernanda Rodríguez, Alejandra Almeida; and his daughter: Virginia Paredes. Carlos is joined with his two siblings who have passed before him, and together he is reunited with his brother, Ricardo Torres, and sister, Teresa Torres.
