Darrell Carson

Zane Carson joined the US Navy out of high school (Lanier High, Austin, TX) Assigned to the USS Merrill DD-976. Hunted Russian submarines during the Cold War, until his assignment changed to firing some of the first Tomahawk Cruise Missiles issued to the US Navy. Upon returning to Austin, he dabbled in the construction business with his brothers and drove a dump truck for a while. He joined the Austin Fire Department in 1987 and retired in late 2000's.
