James (Jimmie/Jimbo) Mudd 1972 – 2026 James “Jimmie” “Jimbo” Walter Mudd, born November 22, 1972, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026 surrounded by his family and friends, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Jimmie was born to the late Hubert and Rita Kay Mudd. He had a heart bigger than life itself and had a way of making everyone around him feel like family. He never met a stranger. Whether you knew him for years or had just met him, Jimmie had a way of making you laugh, feel welcome, and leave with a story you would never forget. Jimmie loved life and lived it with a charisma that was uniquely his own. He especially loved his time bartending, where his personality truly shined. He could talk to anyone, make friends anywhere, and always seemed to have a story ready to tell. He was one of the funniest people you could ever meet, and his storytelling was something truly special. His stories, jokes, laughter, and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed. Of all the things Jimmie loved in this world, his Momma and his Grandma Iris held a very special place in his heart. His love for them was undeniable and was a beautiful reflection of the kind of person he was—loyal, loving, and deeply devoted to his family. Jimmie is survived by his brothers, Scott Mudd, James Krebs, Henry (Cammie) Mudd, and Chad (Jamie) Mudd; his sister, Stephanie (Corey) Pierce; and his many beloved nieces and nephews, Taylor (KC) Campbell, Scotty(Stephanie Burton)Mudd, Tessa (Ben) Hinton, Tyler Meredith, Emma Pierce, Liam Pierce, Alaina Mudd, CJ Mudd, Briar Mudd, Jase Mudd, Jessica Marie, Ray Ray, Eli Strasburger, and Emma Sallee. He also leaves behind two very special friends, Tammy Jo and Todd, who held a cherished place in his life and heart. Jimmie was preceded in death by his sisters, Kelly Jo and Jeannie Michelle; his sister-in-law, Big Stephanie; and his stepmother, Francis Mudd and his grandparents. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Jimmie’s memory will never fade. He will live on in every funny story retold, every laugh shared, every good time remembered, and in the hearts of the countless people whose lives he touched. Jimmie didn’t just walk into a room—he brought the life of the party with him. His laughter was contagious, his stories unforgettable, and his heart was one of a kind. Until we meet again, Jimbo. Save us a seat at the bar. We’ll bring the stories. ❤️
