Jay Perry 1951 – 2025 Dillsburg, PA Jay Robert Perry, age 73, of Dillsburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Forest Park Nursing and Rehab. Born April 9, 1951, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Anne (Reinecker) Newton and late stepfather, Chandler N. Newton. Surviving is his loving wife, Stephanie (Davidson) Perry; two daughters, Erin Deller and husband Casey of Camp Hill, and Tracey Ciesnolevicz and husband Cole of Sinking Spring; and his three grandchildren, Cora Deller and Cameron and Sloane Ciesnolevicz. He was preceded in death by his two siblings, Lana Hudson and Chad Perry, who died in infancy. Jay was a 1969 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, honorably discharged from the Air National Guard of Pennsylvania and the United States Air Force Reserves in 1976; and retired as a Norfolk Southern engineer in 2005. He lived a full life, embracing a wide range of passions and experiences. A dedicated martial artist, he achieved a 3rd Dan black belt in the Art of Jung Sim Do and trained at West Shore Academy of Martial Arts for fifteen years. His diverse passions included racquetball, boating, water skiing, Zumba, billiards, and dancing, all reflecting his commitment to physical and mental discipline. Jay also gave back to his community as a hospitality aide at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital and was a devoted member of Christ Community Church, Camp Hill. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, where there was a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial took place in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Abbottstown.
