Jay Williamson
1960 – 2024

Jay Williamson, born on November 15, 1960, in East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, in Wellsville, Ohio, at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a dedicated worker throughout his life, contributing his efforts to Smith Lumber and the City of Wellsville Street Department.



Jay was preceded in death by his loving parents, June Williamson and Jay Williamson as well as Father-in-law Jay Taggart and Mother-in-law Joyce Taggart. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly four decades, Sherri Williamson, and his beloved son, Cory Williamson and his girlfriend Lindsey Potts. He will also be deeply missed by his brother-in-law, Jason (Jenn) Taggart; sister-in-law Candy (Matt) Arnold; and sister-in-law Dawn (Doug) Van Nice. His memory will live on in the hearts of Aunt Cyndi and Uncle Pete Emmerling, as well as his cherished grandson, Brayden.



Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 26th, at the MacLean Chapel of Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists located at 509 Riverside Avenue in Wellsville. Burial will follow at a later date.



Jay's life was marked by his dedication to his work and love for his family. He will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew him.
