We fight,” became a rallying cry for those who stood beside him through his battle. Keaton’s faith in Christ was unshakable. His life is beautifully reflected in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7 — “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Though his time with us was far too short, Keaton’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the strength he inspired, and the love that will never fade. This site is dedicated to honoring his memory, sharing his story, and celebrating the incredible impact he made in just 17 years. Obituary: With shattered hearts and abiding love, we announce that our precious Keaton Charles Miller, age 17, completed his earthly journey and entered the arms of Jesus on Monday, May 12, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family. Keaton was born on November 23, 2007 in Flint, Michigan to David and Elizabeth (Herrera) Miller. He attended Lee’s Summit West High School and was close to completing his junior year. Keaton was a proud member of the LSW wrestling team. His determination, strength, and humility shone both on and off the mat. Keaton was a light in this world — a kind, witty, and fiercely brave young man whose presence brought joy and inspiration to all who knew him. He had a deep and thoughtful soul, an old wisdom wrapped in a teenage smile. In April 2024, Keaton was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Over the course of thirteen courageous months, he faced every challenge with unmatched resilience, unwavering faith, and his signature humor. Even in his hardest moments, Keaton lifted others, making nurses laugh, comforting his family, and declaring with bold conviction that he was “fine” — always more concerned about those around him than himself. Keaton achieved remission from the leukemia and bravely underwent a bone marrow transplant in hope to maintain his remission and live a long and fulfilling life. His family will always remember him as a warrior who never backed down no matter the odds. Keaton loved his faith, Legos, gaming, fishing, sports, weightlifting, music, good food (especially his dad’s cooking), driving his car, WWE, the University of Michigan sports, spending time with family and friends, and being with his beloved dogs Ree & Nura. Keaton is forever loved and survived by his parents David and Elizabeth (Herrera) Miller, three sisters: Kaylie Beckley, Kirah (Baylor) Dunham, Kyan Miller, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends, caregivers, and community members who stood by him in prayer and support. Keaton is preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles and Dorothy (Deyo) Miller, Dale and Minnie (Aguirre) Fischhaber, Raymond Herrera and uncle Floyd Miller. The Miller family will receive family and friends at Abundant Life Core Building in Lee’s Summit, Missouri with visitation on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The funeral will take place at Abundant Life Church, Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. officiated by Phil Hopper, with interment to follow at Longview Cemetery. A dinner will be held at Abundant Life Church following the interment. Friends are invited to wear Team Keaton shirts or something navy in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital of Kansas City or Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. We are heartbroken, but not without hope. We know Keaton is healed and whole in Heaven, and we cling to the promise of reunion. Until then, we will carry him with us in every sunrise, every wrestling match, and every act of kindness — we are forever Team Keaton.
