Lan Ly 1986 – 2025 Lan was born on October 19, 1986, to Ky Chieu Ly and Kim Thanh Thuy Pham, and from an early age, she lit up the lives of everyone around her with her warmth and radiant smile. A proud graduate of the International Baccalaureate program at Wichita East High School in 2005, Lan went on to pursue her passion for medicine. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology with a Minor in Psychology from Wichita State University in 2008 and completed her MD at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2014. In 2017, Lan fulfilled her dream of becoming a primary care physician after completing the Wesley Family Medicine Residency program. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her patients and took great joy in mentoring future healthcare providers, embodying the compassion and dedication that made her so special. Lan found her soulmate in Thanh Duy "Tip" Bui, and they married in 2014. Together, they welcomed their precious son, Micah Anh Bui, in 2021, who brought immeasurable joy and purpose to her life. As a mother, Lan thrived, pouring her love into every moment with Micah, cherishing the beautiful family they built together. In 2023, they returned to Wichita to be closer to family, creating new memories filled with love and laughter. Lan’s spirit touched the lives of so many, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious laughter, unwavering support, and kind heart will forever resonate in our memories. Though she may no longer be with us, her love will continue to shine brightly, guiding us and encouraging us just as she always did. Lan’s visitation was held at Lakeview Funeral Home on April 25. 2025, it was intimate and attended by family, friends, and colleagues. On April 26, 2025, the Funeral Mass was held at The Church of Magdalen and followed by the committal at Lakeview Cemetery. The morning was filled with God’s presence and a light comforting rain. Lan is survived by her loving husband, Thanh Duy Bui; cherished son, Micah Anh Bui; devoted parents, Ky Chieu Ly and Kim Thanh Pham; brothers, Binh Kiem Ly, Giang Kiem Ly (Linda), and Doan Kiem Ly; sister, Van Quynh Ly;
