Linda Reese 1954 – 2025 Palmerton, PA Linda was the first born of Lillie Mae and Matthew. She had 3 younger sisters and a younger brother. Her father was her hero as a small child, but he passed when she was only 7. She loved her mother and had many happy memories. She was always willing to tell stories about her life growing up. She grew up in the Brodheadsville/Effort area and later in Bangor, PA. She did not have a good relationship with her step-father, and at 16 moved in with her paternal aunt, Gladys. Aunt Gladys once told her, “Linda, when you first came here you were like a piece of coal, but turns out you were a diamond in the rough and now look how you shine.” Her Aunt Gladys, Aunt Hazi, and Aunt Phyllis played huge rolls in her life and helped her through many challenging times. She graduated from Pen Argyl High School in 1972. Later that same year while babysitting she saw a photo of Tim, and Tim’s sister set them up on a date. By June 1973 they were married, and in February 1974 welcomed their first child, Tim Jr. Tim and Linda had four more children, all girls, Kristi, Julie, Abby, and Missy. They would go on to have 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren before Linda’s passing. She loved spending time with her family including her sisters, Bonnie, Ellie, and Bobbie. She was quick with a joke, and could also take a good roasting whenever all of her children were around. She loved the theater and always wanted her name in lights. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, and taking a long drive to reminisce about her life and family on the Weir Mountain. She was always up for a good cup of coffee, and while she wasn’t the best cook she could make a good soup. She enjoyed spending time with animals. She was a little OCD, but also scattered at times. She loved to watch football with Tim, and kept the tradition of cheering on the Eagles no matter what after Tim’s passing. She desperately missed him, and while she told us she would live to be 100, she missed Tim too much and had to leave early.
