Meghan Krueger 1984 – 1999 Hoffman Estates, Illinois In Loving Memory of Meghan Meghan Krueger, at just 14 years old, was a bright and gentle soul who left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. An incoming freshman at Hoffman High School, Meghan was tragically taken from us far too soon. On her walk home from swimming practice—a day she learned she had earned a coveted spot on the varsity swim team—she was struck by a car before she could share the exciting news with her family. Meghan is survived by her loving parents, Jill and Mike; her devoted sisters, Amanda and Jenny; and her cherished half-brother, Eric Krueger. Her family was her world, and she was theirs—a daughter, sister, and friend who brought warmth and kindness to every interaction. An active member of her community, Meghan filled her days with activities that reflected her zest for life. She was a proud softball player for the Hoffman Estates Park District, a dedicated cheerleader for Hoffman Estates Pop Warner, and a spirited member of the Eisenhower Eagles cheer squad. Meghan had a wide circle of friends who were drawn to her quiet strength and gentle heart. She was a self-proclaimed “book snob,” finding joy and wonder in the pages of her favorite novels, and her love for learning made school a place where she truly shone. Her love of animals, nature, and life itself was infectious, inspiring those around her to appreciate the beauty in everyday moments. As a family, some of their most cherished memories were made at Gannon Pond—fishing, catching toads, and ice skating in the winter. This special place, near her childhood home on Warwick Circle North, will forever hold the laughter, love, and joy that Meghan brought into their lives. This rock memorial stands here to honor Meghan’s beautiful life and the countless ways she touched the hearts of those who knew her. Though her time with us was far too short, her spirit lives on in the memories she left behind and in the love that will never fade. Rest in peace, sweet Meghan. You will always be loved, always be missed, and always be remembered.
