Michael David Agardi, known to everyone who loved him simply as Mikey. He was born on July 20, 1983 on the Island of Guam. He spent his life showing the people around him what it looks like to face hard things with a genuine smile. He made his home in Biloxi, Mississippi, and passed away on August 19, 2026 at the age of 43. He left behind a family that will carry his warmth, his humor, and his spirit for the rest of their lives.

Mike lived with spina bifida his entire life. The physical challenges that came with his condition were real and constant, and nobody who knew him would pretend otherwise. He dealt with health struggles that would have worn most people down completely. But that was never the version of himself that Mike chose to show the world. He stayed positive, kept smiling and cracked jokes. And he made sure that the people sitting next to him, whether in a hospital waiting room or at a family gathering, left feeling a little lighter than when they arrived. That was simply who he was.

Family was everything to Mike. He never wanted to be on the sidelines of life, and he made that clear in the most endearing way possible. He always wanted to be included, always wanted to be part of whatever the family was doing, and he had a gift for making his presence feel like the best part of any occasion. Mike had a particular talent for making his father laugh. The kind where those jokes land perfectly was something Mike treasured, and pursued with great dedication.

His nieces, Cheyenne, Makayla, and Emma, were a special part of his world. He loved spending time with them in ways that were simple and real. Fishing trips with his nieces and his sister gave him a kind of joy that needed no explanation. Wheelchair walks were another ritual he genuinely looked forward to, not just as exercise or fresh air, but as time spent together, moving through the world side by side with the people he adored. He lit up around his nieces, and the girls knew they had an uncle who was fully present, fully invested, and always ready to play.

Gaming was one of Mike's great hobbies. He had a deep and enthusiastic passion for video games, that held a special place in his heart. He would play with his nieces often, turning what might have been quiet hours into shared adventures and laughter. His connection to GameStop was practically legendary among those who knew him. The staff there knew his face, and he knew exactly where to find what he was looking for. He also collected movie and gaming figurines with care and pride, building a collection that reflected his personality, and his joy in the things he loved.

Music was another world Mike belonged to. He loved attending concerts, and was drawn to the energy, and feeling that live music brought. That feeling mattered to him. He had a heart for music in a way that went beyond just listening. It was something he experienced fully, and those experiences clearly meant a great deal to him throughout his life.

Mike is survived by his father, Robert Agardi, and his mother Diane Agardi. He is also survived by his brothers, Will Agardi and Daniel Agardi. His sister Amy Agardi and Sara Agardi. His nieces, Cheyenne Agardi, Makayla Agardi, and Emma Agardi. His nephew Ashton Agardi. His uncle Dan Agardi. And his aunt Cari Agardi. He will be truly missed and loved unconditionally forever.
