Michael Hall 1947 – 2005 Indianapolis, Indiana Michael Hall Obituary Published by Flanner Buchanan - Market Street on Nov. 18, 2005. Michael Duane Hall, PhD 58, of Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 18, 2005, he was born in Bedford, IN. on March 9, 1947 to Dayton and Hattie E. (Turley) Hall. Michael was a retired nurse with the U.S. Army, retiring in 1985 after 20 years of service. This included three tours in Vietnam, three tours in Korea on the DMZ, and one tour in Germany and various duty stations in the U.S. Michael was a member of the Greenwood Bible Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Vincennes University, Excelsior College, the University of the state of New York, and Ball State University. He earned three Master's Degrees and a Doctorate Degree in Public Administration, as well as several undergraduate degrees. He was a member of International Who's Who of Professional Educators, the VFW Post 7119 and the American Legion 64. He had been employed by the State of Emergency Management Agency as a professional planner. He served as Human Resources director at Martin University 1996-2000. He also served as Human Resources director at Regency Place of Indianapolis and for Home Health Care Services of Indpls. He received the Army Meritorious Service medal at retirement and the Vietnam Cross of Galantry with palm and many others. Michael is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary Ann (Eaton) Hall; sons, Nathan Hall, daughter-in-law, Chandra Hall, Jeffrey (Linda) Orduno; daughter, Mary Rachael Hall; two grandchildren Jocelyn and Andrew Michael Hall; brother, Stephen Hall; nephews and nieces and many friends who loved him. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Nov. 22, 2005 at 10 a.m. in Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, where friends may call on Monday Nov. 21, 2005 from 5 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, 1461 Sheek Rd.
