Mitzi Kempt Mitzi Ann Kempt was born on June 12, 1952, to Frances and Herbert Tuthill, the youngest of six children and dearly loved by all who were lucky enough to know her. Mitzi was a strong, independent woman with a sharp wit and a warmth that drew people to her naturally. If you were fortunate enough to call her a friend, you had a friend for life, and she proved that again and again throughout her years. She raised two daughters, Tish and Cindy, and found in her son-in-law Billy someone she was proud to have in the family. But it was the three grandchildren that Billy and Cindy gave her, Samantha, Andrew, and Harley, who became the greatest treasures of her life. After they arrived, they were simply everything. They were the light of her days, and anyone who knew Mitzi knew exactly how much she meant it when she said so. She is survived by her daughters Tish and Cindy, her son-in-law Billy, her grandchildren Samantha, Andrew, and Harley, and her siblings Cookie, Larry, Linda, and Laura. Mitzi's brother Jimmy, went on before his little sister knowing he could not let her guide this next journey as the first. Those who knew Mitzi also knew how much her best friend Penny meant to her. It is a beautiful and bittersweet thing that Penny came to find her exactly twenty years to the day of her own passing. Somewhere, the two of them are laughing together, trading jokes, and picking up right where they left off. Mitzi will be greatly missed, and greatly remembered.
