The family of Kenneth and Nell Monk respectfully request your presence at the celebration of life memorial and interment of mom and dad on Friday, March 27, at 2:00 PM at the Hagerman Cemetery.

Dad was born at home in the Duran tenant farm house next to the Pecos River bridge outside of Dexter. Dad grew up on those river banks and graduated from Dexter Schools. He met the love of his life (Nellie Lucille Gill) in Dexter and they raised their family in the valley. Mom was born on October 11, 1935, in Menard, Texas, into a “gypsy” family that eventually migrated to the valley where her and dad met. Dad left us here on March 5, 2022. Mom was finally allowed to join him on June 17, 2025.

They are dearly missed here and we think of them fondly and often. It was their desire to be buried together in the family plot in Hagerman. It is with joy that we are gathering the whole Monk clan to celebrate their lives and desire all who wish to gather with us for this occasion.
