Rickie Hayes 1949 – 1997 Visalia, California Rickie Lee Hayes, born January 25, 1949 in Hebron, Nebraska to Betty Jean Day and Albert Frank Hayes. His Family moved to Pasadena California in 1957 when Rick was about 8 years old with his family. He lived on 132 North Allen Ave, they moved to 127 south Craig street in 1961. Rick attended Hamilton elementary school then Wilson Jr High School. He was the very first class of Blair High School graduating in 1966. In high school He played the saxophone and played football, he was a smart, talented person. After graduating he enlisted in the army 3-7-1969 and served in the Vietnam war until he was honorably discharged 11-5-1974. He then started delivering milk and eventually met and married his first wife Shelly Correll, in 1977 in Lavern, CA, they had a son Brian Scott Hayes born 10-29-1979. They divorced but both worked together raising their son Brian. Rick met his second wife Jenni Carol Smythe when he played on his brother Danny's work baseball team for Snyder Diamond Plumbing store. They dated a year and married 7-19-1986 in Colton, CA they had three daughters Megan Nichole Hayes born 11-8-1987, Brittany Lynn Hayes born 11-1-1989 and Kara Marie Hayes born 12-27-1990, they lived in El Monte Ca. until Rick was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig or ALS around 1994, he had to retire so they moved to a property given to them by Jenni's parents at 18264 Fisher drive in Visalia CA. Rick passed away on 9-10-1997 He was buried in the Exeter cemetery.
