Robin Staples
1965 – 2026

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Robin Staples on August 12, 2026. Born on August 24, 1965, in Berwyn, Illinois to parents Robert and Mary Ann (Baumgartner) Buddecke. She is preceded in death by her father, mother-in-law Lynn, father-in-law Stewart and grandson Bryce. Robin moved to Tucson, Arizona, in 1980, where she built a life centered on family, love, and quiet strength. Robin was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, who meant the world to her. She is survived by her husband Rick Staples, three children, Cassi (Adam) Schoenwald, Joe (Crystal) Staples, and Jim Staples and her grandchildren, Senna, Ari, Roe, and Savannah. She is also a cherished daughter and beloved sister, survived by her mother, two sisters, two brothers, and a large extended family. 
Robin had a calm, loving presence in all the lives she had touched. She was gentle, thoughtful, caring, and generous. People felt at ease around her, and she had a way of offering comfort without needing to say much. Her kindness showed up in small everyday moments and in the way she always made space for others. She loved traveling and discovering new places, and she found a lot of joy in reading. She also enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slot machines, fortunately winning more than losing. 
Robin spent many years working at Tucson Orthopaedic Institute, where she formed lasting friendships and was appreciated for her steady nature and warm heart. 
Her family will remember her for the love she gave so freely, the calm she brought into their lives, and the warmth that stayed with you long after you left the room. Her spirit will continue on in the memories shared and, in the kindness, she taught by example.

The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo, Tucson AZ. The Family kindly requests all guests to wear cheerful colors in honor of Robin as we celebrate her life.
