Roxane Norton

Roxane Lynn (Hendershot) Norton, 68, of Somerset, KY, passed away September 10, 2024 after a battle with cancer. Roxane was born March 16, 1956, in Sandusky, MI to the late Douglas Hendershot and Lenora Liebler. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Doug, Rusty, Patrick, and Jimmy and son, Matthew.

Roxane retired from Walmart in Corbin as a CSM. She also previously worked in quality in the auto industry. Roxane also advocated for JDRF, including a trip to Washington D.C.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Dale; Daughters Patricia (Nicholas) Allam, Penny Taylor, Rachel (Gregory) Barnes, Leah Bailey, Jacob (Raven) Norton, and Angel (Willy) Duff. Also, she loved her grandchildren with all her heart; Dakotah, Markus (Mel), Conner, Devin, Michael, Liam, and Lucy.

She also is survived by her brothers Mike (Hope) Hendershot, Mark (Lisa) Hendershot, Billy (Theresa) Hendershot and Jeff (Danielle) Matthews.

Roxane loved going on cruises, as pictured here in the Bahamas. She has been on cruises with family a couple times and was hoping for another. She also loved doing multiple crafts over the years and painting. She recently was doing a lot of resin and wood crafts.

Roxane will be cremated and taken home to the family cemetery in Watertown, MI. In lieu of flowers Roxane requested donations be made to JDRF or the American Cancer Society.
