Sondra Bell 1976 – 2024 Simpson, Kansas Sondra had deep compassion for all beings, whether animals or humans. From a young age, she had a profound love for caring for animals, including her beloved horse, Sorrely. After high school, she attended Colby Community College, where she earned a Veterinary Technician degree and worked at Ellsworth Animal Hospital for 13 years. Later, she pursued a nursing degree at Barton Community College, dedicating 14 years to her career as a nurse until her passing. To know Sondra was to know an incredibly hardworking and dedicated individual. She was never afraid to stand up for what was right and remained loyal to her family and friends. She valued education, work ethic, honesty, and compassion for others. More than anything, she cherished her time on the farm with her family. No matter how challenging her day at work was, she would return home to care for the animals or spend time with her husband and children. She is survived by her two children, Mackenzie and Jordan; her husband and best friend, Tim, whom she loved dearly; and her extended family, including her sisters, nieces, nephews, and their children. She especially enjoyed helping out on the farm, whether working cattle or tackling other tasks with her loved ones.
