Susan Rogers 1959 – 2025 Shelton, CT Susan’s life began on 2/1/1959 born to Walter & Joan Endres. The oldest of her brothers; James, Mark & Glenn Endres. Her childhood was filled with laughter and love. She met her husband David Rogers in 1980. They later married on the America’s day of love, 2/14/1981. The wedding was simple yet beautiful surrounded by family and friends to celebrate. Susan’s life was destined to be a Mother. A few years later in 1988 the couple traveled to Colombia to adopt their first born, James. Desperate to expand their family they traveled back in 1991 for their daughter Stacey. Not knowing the language was not easy but they managed due to the drive to become a happy family. Susan quickly knew her purpose in life. She was the Mother of all mothers. Whether it was snacks or games, she had them. Every birthday was made to feel like a holiday and every neighborhood child felt the love that radiated from her. She was loved by many and the knew how to have a good time. As years went by and the kids grew older she always stayed close with her true friends. Everyone watched each other grow up & grow old and always stayed in touch. Susan knew how to have a good time. When it came to having a good time and having a good laugh, she was always in the center. It became an even better time when a stiff drink was involved. Susan loved the beach, loved to make memories wherever she found herself. She supported those she loved and cared about no matter what. In 2023 Susan’s dream came true to become a grandmother. Born to her daughter Stacey, Raia entered this world and knew nothing but love. Susan’s eyes lit up when she held her granddaughter and though their time was short, she was truly in love & in awe. The diagnosis that shattered Susan’s life in 2024 was horrifying. As stubborn as she was, she knew she had to do everything she could to enjoy what ever time was left. Family became more important than ever. Until her dying day family was what kept her going despite her condition. Susan entered into rest on June 28, 2025 surrounded by her family. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Susan was taken way too soon by the awful life altering thing called cancer. Her memory and story will never be forgotten.
