Wilma Stewart Barnes 1934 – 1968 Killeen, TX Obituary from 1968: Wilma Jane Stewart Barnes 34, of 1519 Redondo Killeen, Texas died in Scott and White Hospital in Temple Texas on February 14 Valentine's Day 1968 after a short illness. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Killeen Memorial Baptist Chruch, the Rev J.F. Franks officiating, Burial will be in the Killeen City Cemetery. Surviving is her husband, J.H. Barnes Jr., two daughters Linda Faye Barnes and Sharon Kay Barnes: two sons, Terry Lynn Barnes, Michael Ray Barnes; and her mother Mrs. J.C. Stewart of Springdale Ark., a grandson. Five sisters, Mrs. Mary Otta of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Shirley Martin of Verling Heights, Ohio, Mrs. Ruth Powell of Garden Grove, Calif and Mrs. Kay Tate of Springdale, Ark and Mrs. Lela Flint of Pomona, Calif; two brothers John C. Stewart Jr. and James Stewart, both of Fayetteville, Ark. and a number of nieces and nephews. Bio: She was raised in the town of Delaney Arkansas. On top of a hill the kids called Cocoa Hill because of the dark red dirt. The kids remember the fun times of swimming holes, swinging bridges and beautiful landscapes of the Ozark mountains. Enjoying their visits with their Uncle Jr. and Uncle Jim and Aunt Shirley and Aunt Kaye and visiting cousins Susan and Patricia, Sue and Lou and Lisa and Michael and others. After Marring J.H. Barnes Jr., she moved to Killeen, Texas and lived there most of her adult life. Jr. and Janie moved back to Fayetteville Arkansas in 1962 and 1963 for a brief time and then returned back to Killeen, Texas where her kids were raised.
