Yolanda "Yo-Yo" Ayala
1969 – 2014

Chesapeake, VA - Beatrice Yolanda "YoYo" Ayala, 75, went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 7, 2014 with her children by her side. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 17, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Robert Ayala and Leonor Bazan Ayala, niece of Colleta Cadena, Virginia Cadena and Frank Bazan. Yolanda served in the United States Army until 1961. She settled in Newport, RI where she worked and raised her family until she retired in 2000 and moved to Virginia to be with her grandchildren. She loved cheering them on at all their sporting events, their many academic achievements, music concerts, and other achieved goals. Yolanda loved gardening, crossword puzzles, watching all sports, and most of all, she enjoyed the many family and friend gatherings. She will be especially remembered for her selflessness and the devoted way she cared for others during their hardships. Her favorite people called her "NANA"
