Obituary

Obituary for Annie M. Ball

Annie relocated to heaven on July 29, 2026 following a brief hospitalization at UMass Worcester stemming from a fall four days prior. Annie was born Annie Marie Spencer on August 15, 1929 to Charles Egbert Spencer and Suzanne Eugenie Spencer (Pitre) in Coal Branch, New Brunswick, Canada. She came to the United States with her husband Antoine Richard and their two boys Wayne and Brian to build a life for their family. She is predeceased by Antoine, Ora Ball, her sons Albert, Alfred, Henri, Wayne and daughter Susan, and her siblings Albert, Norman, Barbara, and Colleen. She leaves behind three siblings who still reside in Canada which are Theresa, Bing and Marlane, and several nieces and nephews. Her son Brian and his wife Marie of Westminster and their children Alicia, Tara, David, Jordan and her daughter Theresa Neuhouse of Barre. Her grandchildren Paytan, Paige, Darien, Abigail, Amelia and Violet. Her great grandchildren Michael, Jennifer, Rachael, Zachery, Jordan Jax and Avyanna along with several great, great grandchildren and more nieces and nephews. Annie was a woman of deep faith and conviction which was evident by the way she lived her life, and the pages of her well worn bible. She instilled in her family the core values that reflected her trust in God and her love for Jesus Christ. Spending time with family, friends, her children and grandchildren was her favorite thing to do. Annie spoke of them often. They were well loved and brought great joy to her life. She loved to play bingo with friends at the Senior Center. She traveled with friends through Wilson Bus Lines and loved to experience new places and meet new people. She always kept a garden, and loved to watch TV game shows. She enjoyed listening to, as well as playing, Country Music on her guitar. She stayed busy making beautiful knitted wool socks, slippers, hats, scarves, mittens, crocheted blankets and usually donated them to nursing homes and those in need within the community. Annie will be remembered as a devoted mom and grandmother, a hard worker, and a woman of modest means who lived a simple life. We will forever hold her memory in our hearts and we look forward to the grand reunion in heaven.
