Billie "BJ" Joyce Palmer-Steed Obituary Billie Joyce “BJ” Palmer-Steed, 57, of Prince George, VA passed away surrounded by her family and friends, Friday, June 2, 2023. BJ spent time in the Navy Reserves and was a graduate of Key Business College. She most notably built an amazing career in the financial industry. At her death, she was a Manger for Mariner Finance in Chester, VA. BJ grew up on Tangier Island, VA and her love for that island was unmatched. She never missed a chance to go back home for homecomings, summer fun or just to visit family and friends. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. She was loved by all she came into contact with. BJ always gave back to her community. She was a committed member of Junior Woman’s Club organizations. If you asked anyone what BJ’s favorite thing was, it would be traveling. She loved planning trips with her girlfriends, her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Timothy Marshall; grandmothers, Joyce Shores and Margaret “Dace" Dise; and her grandfathers, Robert Shores, Homer “Cooley” Marshall and Frank Dise. She is survived by her sons, Timothy Palmer and wife, Brittany Palmer and Forrest Steed; grandchildren, Landon May, Kyleigh Palmer and Sawyer Palmer; her mother, Lana Marshall.. BJ lived her life to the fullest. Her favorite saying was YOLO “You only live once” She will be greatly missed. BJ’s family and friends gathered to honor he life on Saturday, June 10th at Bliley’s Funeral Home.
