Carol H. Ryan, 93, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Juniper Village in Bucks County. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 27, 1932, she was the beloved daughter of the late Katherine (Howett) and James Hannigan.
A woman of quiet strength and unwavering grace, Carol devoted her life to her family and faith. She was the cherished mother of Regina Ross, Michael J. Ryan Jr., Christopher J. Ryan (Charlotte), and Katherine Ryan. Her love and kindness extended to her nine grandchildren—Kristin, Ryan, David, Lori, Crystal, Julia, Victoria, Kyle, and Colin—and her eight great-grandchildren, with one more soon to arrive. Carol is also survived by her loving sister Kathryn Baldwin and her beloved nephews, Edward and Keith, and her niece, Barbara.
She was the devoted wife of the late Michael Ryan, with whom she shared 49 wonderful years of marriage.
Carol dedicated many years as a telephone operator, known for her gentle demeanor and steadfast dedication. A lifelong woman of faith, she was a longtime member of St. Anselm Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Hallahan Catholic Girl High School, carrying with her a deep appreciation for community and connection.
