Let the memory of Daniel be with us forever.
Remembering the Man! Daniel Christopher Fair was born May 12, 1993. He was gifted into the Fair family of Tim, Judi and his two older brothers, Steven and Luke. From Dan’s first breath, he was filled with a tender heart. Holding him in our arms was heavenly and watching him grow was our blessing. Daniel loved his brothers dearly and they spent endless hours playing together. The bond between our family is our foundation. Our dedication to each other makes it work. Dan had non- stop energy and speed. Chasing him all over Lake of the four seasons was everyone’s task. In only a diaper, cowboy boots and hat, he was well known to all our neighbors. No crib could hold him, no door could stop him. An angel in training… At a very young age, Dan’s new nickname was assigned. T.A.N. seemed appropriate to his Tough As Nails response to pain. TAN rather than DAN he was called due to several injuries that would make most cry… Barely a tear or whimper would he express. Hence Tough As Nails (TAN) found its home. Daniel loved to swim for hours, and he learned to snorkel young and spent summer days in the pools, beaches and water parks with family. Paintball proficiency was another interest. He loved doing anything with Steve and Luke. While boating one day, Daniel fell backward off the boat, and Tim dove in to find him deep in the murky water. Angels were watching over that day. Dan protects and gives to any in need. Daniel found a love of animals and had a deep empathy that animals responded to. They say animals know… and they are right. He was blessed with another gift that would bring him joy and his gentle spirit was developing right before our eyes. He excelled in Karate, football and Lacross, loved his White Sox, Bears & Bulls. In Karate, Dan was known for his speed, power and strength. He earned the title of “Thunder” and Luke was “Lightening”. Thunder and Lightning soon became known for tournament fighting and Dan excelled as an Illinois State Karate Champion. Daniel is filled with love, energy, humor and compassion. He is such a generous soul who always has the back of those in need. Daniel is a defender of many friends, who tell stories of how he boldly protected them. Stranger alike, if Dan can protect or help another, he is their guard. Daniel has so many interests, cooking, arts, philosophy, continual self-improvement, hiking, running, music, painting, meditation, spirituality, philanthropy, physical fitness… but is known for his kind and caring spirit. Donating to several charities and causes. Helping others and leaving this world a better place was his mission. Daniel loves his beautiful sister-in-law Jaclyn, and nephews Carter & Bennett. He again excelled as an active, giving and fun-loving Uncle and Brother-in-Law. His nephews learned quickly that Dan is their source for fun. Dan was often and lovingly referred to as Aqua Man… Dan is such a kid at heart and loves playing with them. Wrestling, battles, games, entertainment and time to just sit in Uncle Dan’s lap made Dan’s day. Carter and Ben adore their Aqua Man Uncle. So much so that all uncles are referred to as “Uncle Dan” to Bennett… Whenever Dan went over to their home, Bennett immediately transformed to the HULK and Carter to Captain America---great times commenced! Dan Loves his Sister-in-Law Jaclyn and was very proud of Steve for marrying such a wonderful, loving, devoted wife and mother. Dan witnessed firsthand, Jaclyn’s Love & devotion to her husband and children and admired her for it. Daniel’s love of music spans many genres and brought him proficiency with playing the Drums. Playing for hours gave him comfort, outlet and inspiration. Daniel’s study of music gained him an impressive knowledge base to share. Give him 3 notes and he can tell you the song, artist and record label… His love for art, expression and painting was well appreciated. Dan’s blessings continued as his creativity is evidenced by his artistic flair, colorful wardrobe, and unique style. His long beautiful red hair gives him attention to his warm infectious smile. Daniel continued to grow and develop such fine character and moral compass. His passion for helping others a trademark. While Daniel’s battled many challenges, his victories are epic, his stumbles and foes were a few. Daniel, we could not be any prouder of you… just for being you. Daniel you are now in the arms of our Heavenly Father. We will hold you in our hearts with tenderness, as you watch over us each day. An Angel in heaven, your training complete. Daniel, you know, our love for you is immense, everlasting and unconditional, we have been blessed. You are now our Angel in heaven and will be missed every minute and hour of each day…until we embrace again. With all our love, Dad, Mom, Steven, Luke, Jaclyn, Carter & Ben….
