Delmer Ivy

1937 – 2020
Lived in Sealy, Texas

Let the memory of Delmer be with us forever.

Bud (or Pawpaw as many called him) was born in Eldorado, Texas February 18, 1937 the son of Leo and Rosalee Ivy. He grew up as a typical young man of his time. He worked as a roughneck in the oil field, a truck driver and a ranch hand. As a young man working as a ranch hand, He broke his left arm while breaking wild horses and had a steel rod inserted into the bone. He told stories of how his family moved from ranch to ranch while living in a tent.

Then it happened, a pretty young girl caught his eye and his family legacy began. Nancy Jean Turner, of Sanderson Texas, soon became his new lease on life and they married on December 27, 1956 and made their home in Sheffield Texas. They later moved to Sealy, Katy and Brookshire before settling in Sealy, Texas again.
