Elizabeth Ortiz

Elizabeth Ortiz was born in the Bronx, New York, and was the oldest of nine children. From an early age, she carried the responsibility of helping her mother, Ramona Ortiz, raise her siblings, showing the nurturing and caring nature that would define her throughout her life.

Elizabeth shared a beautiful life with her husband, with whom she was together for 43 years and married for 13. They built a family full of love and support, raising two sons: her oldest, German Martinez, and her youngest, Alejandro Torres. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to two grandchildren, whom she adored and lovingly spoiled at every opportunity.

For 14 years, Elizabeth dedicated herself to working as a home health aide, where she cared for one child as if he were her own. Her kindness, patience, and unconditional love left a lasting mark on everyone around her.

Elizabeth will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, her selflessness, and the way she made sure everyone around her was cared for and loved. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.
