Erik Ovist

Erik was a son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He was well know for his humor, positive attitude, strength, love he had for others, loyalty, respect, kindness, and the love he had for his family, wife, and sons. He was born in Chico, CA from his mother Debbie Delgado and father Dan Ovist and raised and loved by step father Evan Delgado. Soon after moving to Redding, Ca where he went to school and till the remainder of his life. At age 19 he met his wife Kelsey. Fell in love and was married on September 20th, 2008 at First Baptist Church with family and friends present. On August 26th 2010 his first son Gavin Erik Ovist was born and 2 years later his second son Logan Daniel Ovist was born on August 8th 2012. Erik supported and loved his wife and sons while protecting, providing, and being the best husband and father anyone could ask for. Erik worked at JC Barry Skylights in Redding, Ca working his way from manufacturing and building skylights for his clients to delivery driving, managing the company. He worked with some of his closets friends and family. Erik in his spare time loved spending time with his family and friends, working out at the gym, watching movies, and going to concerts. Erik passed away on August 21st, 2024 in his home in his sleep from a heart condition that was unknown of and untreated. He was survived by his wife and 2 sons. He was 37 years old. He will be missed greatly, loved forever, and we will always carry him in our hearts.
