Let the memory of Amy be with us forever.
~Friends, Family, and acquaintances, here on her memorial page, we invite you to share a fond memory, leave a tribute, or recount a funny story you have with Amy. So that her younger children can continue to learn more about the amazing person that she was, so that her older children may read stories Amy had not yet had occasion to tell, and so that her memory may live on with her grandchildren, not fortunate enough to know her.~
Beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister and friend Amy Nicole (Bailey) Sanchez has died at the age of 43; surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Born to Jim and Cindy Bailey on September 19, 1979, she is survived by them, her children Kathryn McBride, U.S. Army Sgt A.J. Sanchez, Luke and Emilee Walker, son-in-law Garrett McBride, daughter-in-law US Army SPC Janika Sanchez, granddaughter Sofia James McBride and the newest granddaughter; soon-to-be-born Nicole Sanchez, sister Sarah Smith, brother-in-law Todd Smith and niece Bailey Miriam-Annette Smith.
Amy was kind. She raised her four children to be kind. As a devout Christian, the kind and utterly selfless example she set for her children every single day of her life lay the most solid foundation for their lives in their walk with Jesus Christ. She reveled in the warm comfort of their company and that of her many loving friends. Further, Amy could be relied upon for calm and useful advice in any situation; a precious trait describing her by so many. Amy was a gentle and patient tutor, leading students from frustration into confident understanding.
Amy was so proud of each person she knew, and found a way to encourage them. She was everyone's best friend. This is the Amy Sanchez that we know. She supported every single person, often when it meant she would go without; especially when it meant she would go without. Amy was absolutely devoted to her family, with all she possibly had to give, from the moment she could show it, until the last day of her life, with the last words she spoke, she thought only of others.
Beloved and kind Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend Amy Nicole Sanchez of Wilsonville, Alabama. Secure in the everlasting Glory of God. Resident of Heaven.
