Let the memory of Brian be with us forever.

Brian Cook lived life with passion, adventure, and an appreciation for the simple moments that brought people together. A graduate of Arlington High School and later a student at Dutchess Community College, Brian left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. An athlete at heart, Brian enjoyed playing hockey and had a lifelong love of sports and competition. However, it was golf that became one of his greatest passions. He found joy, friendship, and peace on the golf course, and his love for the game was so profound that his legacy continues today through the Brian C. Cook Memorial Scholarship at Arlington High School. The scholarship serves as a lasting tribute to his character and the impact he had on his community. Brian also loved the freedom of the open road. Whether riding his motorcycle or driving fast cars, he embraced life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. He believed in making the most of every day and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Above all else, Brian was a devoted son, brother, family member, and friend. He shared a special bond with his brother, Justin, and his sister, Kristen. His loyalty, humor, and caring nature made him someone people could always count on. He brought laughter, strength, and unforgettable memories to those closest to him. Brian’s legacy can be found throughout the community he loved. A memorial bench overlooking the 17th hole at the McCann Memorial Golf Course in Poughkeepsie stands as a tribute to his passion for golf and the many hours he spent enjoying the game. Another memorial bench along the Dutchess Rail Trail provides a peaceful place for family, friends, and visitors to reflect and remember a life well lived. Though Brian’s time was far too short, the impact he made continues to be felt through the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the tributes established in his honor. His spirit lives on in every round of golf played in his memory, every student helped through his scholarship, and every loved one who carries his memory forward. Brian will always be remembered for his adventurous spirit, generous heart, infectious smile, and unwavering love for family and friends. His legacy is one of strength, kindness, and living life to its fullest—a legacy that will never be forgotten.
