Brittany Oskey

Brittany was only 21 and a student at Stony Brook University when her life was cut short because of a friend's actions. She was my only child and was cherished since the day I brought her home. She was an honor roll student all through high school. She spent her childhood going on trips and seeing the country and world with me. She spent a lot of time with her cousins and her many friends. There was nothing she would hesitate to tell me either. We had a special mother/daughter relationship... It was only after her passing that I found out all the good she did. She did not hesitate to say things she believed in. She was always an advocate for people who were being bullied and she was just the kind of a girl people were drawn to. I remember a few trips with her to NYC, and she always made me stop so she could give something to the homeless. She was a huge animal lover and loved spending time with her cat Baby and her dog Midnight. She was wise way beyond her years. She was one of a kind. I know she still leads me through this difficult life of mine and I can still feel her cheering me on. Love you Brittany
