Obituary

Clifford Dale Lear, died unexpectedly July 22, 2026 in Okeechobee FL. Born Sept 16, 1952 in Cleveland OH , he grew up and graduated from Brunswick High. He had a love for classic cars. Cliff loved to travel. He loved taking his kids to amusement parks and seeing new parks and places. He always enjoyed treating his kids and grandkids to a seafood dinner, or cooking a great steak on the grill. His famous green chili won a few contests at one of his favorite places to be when he was in Ohio, The Family Tavern. He later moved to Okeechobee and loved living there. He still made it back for important times with the kids and grandkids. He will surely be missed. He is survived by his children, Dawn M Lear, Cliff ( Jasmine) Lear. Grandchildren Trevor Piatt, Elanna Lear, Makenzie Hendershot, and Ava Lear. Longtime love Chris Salajcik. Sisters Debra Duncan, Cheryl (Gary) Clymer. Nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his father Van Clifton Lear, mother Helen M Lear, and nephew Michael Duncan. The family will be having a memorial at a later date in Ohio.
