Let the memory of David be with us forever.
Born in Knoxville, Iowa the son of David LaVern and Connie Lou (Hartshorn) Storm.
During his junior year of high school, he began dating Barbara Proffitt. The high school sweethearts graduated and were married August 9, 1975 before David left for United States Marine Corps Reserves bootcamp.
David and Barbara welcomed their first daughter on his 21st birthday followed by 2 more daughters over the next 5 years. He was an immensely proud and dedicated husband and father, never missing a softball game, band/choir concert or dance recital.
After raising his daughters, he was most excited and loved the role of granparent.
David attended Central College in Pella where he earned his degree in accountancy and acquired his CPA license in 1987.
In his spare time, David enjoyed watching sports; especially the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes. When outdoors he could be found playing golf or riding his motorcycle.
David passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at MercyOne Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 67 years.
