Obituary

Edwin Tyl was born in 2002 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and lived his twelve years there, in the city that was both his beginning and his home. He was just a boy, full of the quiet promise that belongs to every child, and his passing in 2014 left a space that those who loved him will always feel.

Twelve years is not a long time, but it is enough time to matter deeply. Edwin mattered. He was known and cherished, and the people who held him close carry with them the sound of his voice, the particular way he moved through the world, and every small moment that made him who he was. A child's life is measured not in length but in the love given and received, and by that measure Edwin's life was full.

A service was held to honor him and to give those who cared for him a place to gather, to remember, and to begin the long work of carrying his memory forward.
