Frederic Freer

Frederic/Buttercup was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Two of his greatest passions were trains and classic cars, they brought him so much joy throughout his life. Where his memory started to fade his love and knowledge for these things never did. He could, and did, watch trains and cars for hours on end and he never got tired of it. To have a passion so strong is admirable and we would be very lucky to find our passions in life as he did. He loved his family dearly and felt great comfort when talking with his daughters and grandkids. I would like to highlight one of those relationships which was between Sandra, my mom, and Fred which was my grandpa. I know the love between a parent and a child since I have two of my own. It is a bond that is unexplainable and unbreakable. My mother took care of my grandpa these past few years and they truly formed a bond so beautiful. She was his comfort and how could she not be when on the menu was ice cream every night. I’ve never seen someone give their absolute best every single day for someone like my mother did for him. That is a great lesson I’ve taken away from spending so much time with my grandpa is to always give your best to those you love.
