James Kloster

James "Jim" Marvin Kloster, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and coach, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2023, at the age of 82. Born on June 19, 1940, in Sharon, ND, Jim spent his life rooted in the values of family, hard work, and community. After earning a degree in education from Mayville State College, he married Karen in 1965 and pursued careers as a teacher, coach, and farmer. Known as "Coach K," he was passionate about basketball and enjoyed staying connected with his players and their shared memories. Jim found great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren, whether it was giving tractor rides, watching their activities, or simply sharing moments together. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and connection to family and friends will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
