Obituary
James Adeyemi Okafor of Houston, Texas, died on January 14, 2026, at the age of 61. Born in Enugu, Nigeria, James trained as a civil engineer and spent three decades building bridges — and, just as deliberately, building community. He mentored dozens of young engineers, coached weekend soccer, and never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife Ada, sons Chidi and Emeka, and a neighborhood that considered him family.
