Joe James Tucker son of Marvin Wade and Maggie Beulah Johnson Tucker was born on 3 May 1936 in Stewart County, Tennessee. He was the third of six children. His siblings were Marie Johnson Brough, Dorothy Tucker Dujka, Nancy Tucker Marco, Billy Brandon Tucker and Peggy Tucker Searles. He was united in marriage to Donna Jean Esbrook on 30 December 1967 in Plano, Kendall County, Illinois. Two daughters, Karen Jo and Suzanne Marie Tucker, were born into this union. He was a caring man, especially when it came to his family. He treated Candy Tucker and Teresa Hausler like they were his own. Joe was a tall man at 6'4" weighing about 210 pounds. He was an entrepreneur at heart but iron worker by trade. He owned J.J.'s Place in both Millington and Earlville, Illinois as well as Tucker Trucking Company, T&M Deckers with his friend Ray Miller, gas stations, motorcycle shops, rental homes, etc., Joe was murdered in August 1988 at the hands of Dennis Arthur Orr. Orr's girlfriend at the time (Karen Ann Kimble Tucker) was also charged in the death of Joe.
