Karyn Nunez

2002 – 2025
Lived in Dangriga, Belize

Let the memory of Karyn be with us forever.

Karyn Antonia Nunez was full of life, energy, and love. She had a vibrant spirit and a passion for living—she loved going out, dancing, playing basketball, and spending time with her friends, but nothing meant more to her than her family. Karyn was incredibly talented, especially when it came to makeup and drawing, and she dreamed of one day owning her own salon. She loved listening to The Weeknd and was completely obsessed with the color pink, which reflected her bold and beautiful personality.

Her laughter was unforgettable, and she had a special way of lighting up every room she walked into. Karyn was deeply loving and always made sure everyone around her felt cared for. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, she faced her battle with incredible strength and selflessness, never wanting to worry others.

She fought bravely until the end. We will never forget her. We love you, sissy.

Tributes

A friend· May 19, 2026

Dear Karyn, Today, I want to honor you with a tribute that reflects the beautiful light you brought into our lives. From the moment I met you through your wonderful aunt Leeandra, who is my dearest friend, I felt an instant connection to you. Being your aunt was one of the greatest blessings of my life. You were truly a remarkable girl, full of love, kindness, and an incredible spirit. Your selflessness shone through in everything you did. I will forever treasure the moments we spent together, cooking and baking in the kitchen, watching movies, and sharing laughter that echoed through the room. Those evenings were filled with joy, and your infectious smile always brightened our hearts. Your talent was extraordinary. The way you taught my other niece, Munz(Sarita Tzul) and brother (Ali Garraway) new music choreographies showcased not only your creativity but also your generous spirit. You were the life of the party, a shining star, and there was never a dull moment when you were around. When you became sick, my heart shattered into pieces. Losing you, after recently losing my mother, felt like losing another vital part of my soul. I often find myself wishing for magic to bring both of you back, to relive those joyous moments of laughter and dance. It's hard not to question why such vibrant spirits were taken from us too soon. I may never fully understand why God chose to call you home at such a tender age, but I believe that your work here on Earth was complete. Your memory will forever be etched in our hearts, a beautiful reminder of the love and joy you brought into our lives. You will always be missed, but your spirit will continue to inspire us every day. With all my love and deepest affection, Aunty Asha
