Let the memory of Kathleen be with us forever.
Kathleen "Kathy" Doretta Steffenson (White) of Leander, Texas, died on March 25, 2018 at the age of 78 with her family by her side. Kathy was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on December 25, 1939 to parents Leo Francis and Kathleen Elizabeth White (Monahan). She was the fourth child born to Leo and Kathleen and was their only daughter. Kathy would later start and raise a family of her own in St. Paul with her husband, Gary Steffenson, whom she met in 1958 through a carpool for their work at 3M. Kathy and Gary were married on August 5, 1961. Together, they had three children, Michael, Gregory, and Mary. The family moved to Texas in 1986. Kathy showed incredible dedication to her family and to her Church. She served for several years as a Eucharist Minister at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Kathy enjoyed traveling the world with Gary and playing Bridge with friends, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and with her grandchildren. Kathy raised children and grandchildren who will carry on in them, her sharp wit and impeccable ability to leave no person un-thanked for their service, hospitality, or time. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Francis White and Kathleen Elizabeth White; three brothers, Frank White, Harry White, and Jack White; sister in-law, Verna White. She is survived by her husband, Gary Steffenson; three children, Michael Steffenson, Gregory Steffenson, and Mary Steffenson Birchfield; four grandchildren, Cynthia Pritchard, Colleen Steffenson, Gabrielle Walton, and Emily Walton; great granddaughter, Adelyne Pritchard; daughter and son in-law, Kim Steffenson and Roger Birchfield; sisters-in-law Romi White and Jean Dymoke.
