Kevin
Kevin Brian Hanifin, aged 60, passed away on July 25, 2026, in Brightwood, Oregon.
Born on September 8, 1965 in southern California, Kevin spent his early childhood in San Diego, CA before his family moved to Beaverton, Oregon in 1974. In Beaverton he attended Vose Elementary, Highland Park Middle School and Beaverton High School, before advancing to Oregon State University.
Kevin dedicated much of his career to the technology sector, notably working for a software company followed by a job travelling the country installing and updating systems for a growing pet care business. His professional life allowed him to see much of the country, which he very much enjoyed, all while improving the efficiency of his clients systems. Alongside his career, Kevin was deeply devoted to his family, particularly in caring for his elderly parents during their final years. He will be forever remembered for his contributions to his mother and father.
Known for his caring nature, Kevin had a profound love for animals. His home in Brightwood was a sanctuary for birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and any creature that wandered into his yard. This love extended into his leisure activities, with gaming being a particular passion, providing him not just entertainment but also a community of friends who shared his interests.
Kevin is survived by his brothers Dan, Terry, Tom, and Jamie. He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara, father John, and brother David. Kevin's life was a testament to his kindness, technological acumen, and unwavering commitment to his family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
