what July4th should be….
Let the memory of Mark be with us forever.
Mark Andrew Neely. To have known him is to love him. There isn’t a person that knew him that could deny the love that this man had in his heart for others. He genuinely enjoyed people and he loved aggravating them. He made you feel seen, made you feel loved. He would affectionately assign you a forever nickname and then never fail to call you that every time he saw you.
Mark was the type of man that if you needed him, he would be there instantly for you. He was a father figure to so many and a perfect example of how a man should be. He deeply loved ALL of his family, could fix anything, was sensitive yet tough and was always ready to make a joke. He never met a stranger and if he saw a stranger stranded on the side of the road, he always stopped to help them. He loved all things nature especially fishing and hunting. He was a perfect combination of his mom and his dad.
His word was his word and he gained the love and respect of those he worked with and for and those that he even supervised. Mark came out of retirement almost 3 years ago and worked for MTG. A decision that he didn’t regret because they appreciated and loved him instantly. They have been so good to him and he really considered them a blessing and loved the people of MTG.
Mark was a family man. He truly loved his parents, siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews, his grandchildren, and his daughter. But he loved his wife, Cassie more than anything on this earth. They were together for 46 years and you rarely saw one without the other. He would write her love letters daily and wrap her in his big strong arms – he was her comforter and protector. She was his soulmate. If you knew them, you knew that he simply adored her with all his being.
His legacy will live on in all of our hearts. He was greatly loved by all those that truly knew him. He will be missed immensely.
Honor Mark
A gesture of sympathy in their memory.
