Today and every day, I celebrate the extraordinary woman you were and the unconditional love you shared with me. You were more than just a grandma; you were my confidante, my adventure buddy, and my guiding light. Our trips to the mountains, family vacations, and simple pleasures like yard selling created a treasure trove of memories I'll cherish forever. Your kindness, warmth, and infectious laughter could light up an entire room. Your unwavering support and encouragement gave me the strength to pursue my dreams. Though you may be gone, your legacy lives on through me, and I promise to keep your memory alive in my heart. Every holiday, every milestone, and every ordinary day, I'll remember you and the values you instilled in me. Meme, I miss you more than words can express. I miss our late-night conversations, our silly jokes, and our deep, meaningful talks. But even in death, you continue to teach me valuable lessons about resilience, love, and the importance of living life to the fullest. As I say goodbye, I take comfort in knowing that your memory will continue to guide me. You will forever be in my heart, and I look forward to the day when we'll meet again. Rest in peace, Meme. I love you more than words can say.

If I had to describe Mimi, it would ultimately melt down to her warmth, her love of God, and her strength. I may have only had her in my life for a few years, but she welcomed me with open arms and treated me as her own without any hesitation. When I needed a job, she allowed me to help her clean out the house and in doing so, we had so many talks. We talked about life, about love, about loss. We cried together and we laughed. So much laughter! And when Lee proposed, one of her first questions when I saw her was, “What should I wear?” She was such a force of nature and I will miss her and her love for as long as I live. But I find so much peace knowing that she is home with Jesus in heaven and probably talking anyone who will listen’s ears off!

Grandparents are some of the world’s greatest gifts. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t look back on all the time I spent with Meme growing up and remember all the lessons, laughs, and stories she shared with me. A lot of the man I am today can be attributed to all the orange slices she gave me, the trips we took around town in her little red car, and all the Christmas mornings she spent waking Jacob and I up just to see what gifts we got. And I would be remiss to fail to mention my lifelong obsession with scrambled eggs with cheese, developed from many breakfasts before grade school shared with her. We all love and miss Meme, but look forward to the day we will see her again. But never forget her timeless quote, “Sweet people, eat sweet things and your grandma is the sweetest.”

Nancy Mae, you are so missed and not only did I gain a wife when I married your Daughter, Missy Joy, I also gained another mother. Your love for your family was so bright and shining. The love you had for your two grandsons, Lee and Jacob was beyond precious. The love that you gave to Melissa and I was so genuine and special. It goes without saying that you and Bill had a long and everlasting love for one another and we are all doing the best we can to take care of Billy David. Nancy, I will never forget you and your memories will live with me forever. I love you, David
