Richard Matthews

Richard Matthews Sr. was a hard working man. His tan lines and sweatbands proved that to be true. Much of his life was spent in the military and had a lot to do with his personality. Richard was funny, kind and honest. He was not the kind of man who was going to keep his mouth closed if he had something to say. He had the richest, most silent laugh. He used to fill his days with working outside, doing puzzles and watching tv. There wasn’t a tool in the world he didn’t have. He ate the strangest foods and made sure to share them (even if you said no). He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had his ways about him but had the softest heart. His kisses were of satin and hugs were of love. He may have left the world but he was our world.
