Rick's passion for the outdoors and hunting brought many years of wonderful Venison for family meals and great stories of the "the day's hunt" He was happiest after a long day in the woods. It was so nice to have him tell how he got the prize buck or doe in the crosshairs.
Let the memory of Richard be with us forever.
Rick lived a quality life for 60 yrs with dedicated love for his wife of 36 yrs Cheryl, 4 children Ricky, Jenny, Meredith & Joey, 2 grandchildren Kylynn & Oliver. His strength, kindness, humor and humility never waivered until pain became unbearable. He was our North Star, Best Friend and Hero in so many ways. His passions were music (esp. Rush, Neil Young, James Gang, Creedence Clearwater Revival) Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, hunting, fishing, gunsmithing Furman University as Director of Facilities and his entire crew, cooking/grilling for all he loved in the backyard family gatherings. Rick is loved deeply forever. We cherish the time and memories we shared. We all pray for the day we can be together again in grace and peace in heaven with our Lord and Savior.
