What a great man
Let the memory of Sgt. be with us forever.
Sgt. Mike Thompson was a dedicated soldier who served two combat tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq, during the height of the Global War on Terror.
Enlisting in the U.S. Army at the age of 18 in 2002, Mike quickly proved his bravery and leadership in the Battle of Fallujah in 2004, one of the fiercest urban battles of the Iraq War.
His second tour saw him deployed to Afghanistan, where he served with distinction in Operation Enduring Freedom, fighting in Kandahar Province.
Mike was known for his unyielding dedication to his unit, always putting his comrades first, even in the most dangerous situations. As a father of two and a beloved friend, his heroism extended beyond the battlefield.
Tragically, Mike passed away in 2015 while still serving his country, but his courage, loyalty, and kindness are forever etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

My dad was one of the best men you'll ever meet. He always showed up for us.
