Almost forgot. We carried the memorial weekend tradition on this year. It was hard but we did it in honor for you. Tears were shed and beer was drank. Joe made some cool stickers for the buggies as always. We definitely missed you big time. Love you !

Jimmy L. Arehart, 80, of Charleston, WV has been accepted into God’s loving embrace on Monday, November 10, 2025 at his residence. Born December 22, 1944, in Whitesville, WV to Hubert “Happy” Arehart and Betty Edmonds, Jimmy was a lifelong area resident, who retired from Kroger warehouse after dedicating 28 hardworking years. After retiring, Jimmy had more time to play golf and shortly started working for Little Creek Golf Course where he would golf with the “Seniors” and on Friday’s meet up with family and friends. He enjoyed monthly morning breakfast with his Kroger buddies, daily visits to Lanyi’s Golf Shop, and spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid MOUNTAINEER FAN with a contagious laugh and beautiful smile.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; Happy Arehart (Mae) and Betty Edmonds (Bobby), sisters, Shirley Hamilton and Faye Stover, father and mother-in-law, Chester and Madeline Foster, as well as several in laws.
Left to cherish his fun loving memory is his beloved wife of 55 years, Linda Arehart, beautiful daughters; Sherry Fields (Danny), Madeline Jarvis (Steve), and Rhonda Rivera (Javier), caring grandchildren; Zach (Megan), Tristan (Kelsey), Myra, Madison (Tre), Lindsey, Elena, Jamie and Kenny (Jody) and Great Grandchildren; Izzy “Inzy”, Holdyn, and Ledger; sister Evelyn Hamilton, and brother David Arehart, a host of sister and brother in laws in Connecticut and New Hampshire that loved him like a brother, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends that loved him dearly.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service starting at 6:00pm on Monday, November 17, 2025. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Hafer Funeral Home, 50 North Pinch Road, Elkview, WV 25071.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to be made in his honor to West Virginia University Foundation c/o WVU HEART AND VASCULAR (2W788), One Waterfront Place, 7th Floor, Morgantown WV 26507-1650.
