Texas 'Allene' Watters Obituary Texas Allene ( Leach) Watters, 84, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1,2017, in Indianapolis. Allene was born February 19, 1932 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the Rev. C.D. and Rectie (Whittle) Leach. She was a homemaker. Allene enjoyed going to garage sales, sewing, and eating breakfast every morning, at the Waffle House. Allene was a very faithful and active member of the Greenwood Bible Baptist Church.She loved her children, her church family, and spending time with them. Allene is survived by her two children, Michael Watters and Lisa Watters both of Greenwood, a granddaughter, Danielle Johnson, three great-grandchildren, Levi, Matthew, and Abigail Johnson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Watters, in March of 2010, a brother, Elton Leach and four sisters, Alta Leach, Maxine Land, Ann Daugherty, and Ona Dean Leach. A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Todd Poynter at 11:00 a.m. on Friday Jan, 6, 2017 at Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, 1461 Sheek Rd. Greenwood, Indiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday Jan. 5, and from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, in Greenwood. Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, is entrusted with arrangements.
